A scenic, permanent water source within the Khwai area of the Okavango Delta, Botswana. It is known for supporting rich wildlife, including elephants, lions, and hippos, and is a popular spot for our mokoro route.

MmaTsebe is an owner-run camp set on a private property along the Mbudi River, a tributary of the Khwai.
Bordering the Moremi Game Reserve, the camp enjoys a peaceful setting away from central Khwai’s high-season hustle, yet access to iconic wildlife areas, with game drives traversing both Moremi and the Khwai Concession.
20-minutes drive from Khwai Airstrip, the camp offers a relaxed, character-rich setting with sweeping views.
The Camp

The Property
Accessible by road, MmaTsebe has the benefit of being set on privately owned land hugging a stunning section of the Mbudi River. Upon entry onto the unfenced property, the Mopane forest engulfs guests into its paradise.
The 25 hectares allows for mokoro excursions straight into camp, private bush dinners and helicopter scenics from camp. Resident elephant, buffalo and lechwe create a wild environment that we embrace.

Guest Tents
The camp encompasses 9 classic canvas en-suite tents are tucked away in the Mopane forest. Each tent enjoys views of the river from a private veranda. Tents are complete with plush canopy beds with a mosquito net and ceiling fan, flush loo and hot shower and a double vanity.
4x10 metres of comfort and serenity that can either be double or single rooms, with roll-away beds
available for children.

Main Area
A large deck under canvas that encompasses indoor and outdoor dining, an all-day bar, an indoor lounge, daybeds, swimming pool and pool lounge. Designed for memorable meals and unhurried time between activities, with plenty of space to relax, watch the river, and simply settle into the pace of Khwai.
Beautiful repurposed furniture, unique textiles and artwork complete the main area that overlooks an evergreen river in front.

Activities
Game drives explore both Moremi and the greater Khwai region, offering varied and rewarding wildlife viewing throughout the year. Mokoro excursions are available year-round from camp, alongside guided walking safaris for a closer perspective on the bush. Look forward to incredible birdlife, diverse landscapes and exciting wildlife sightings.

Dining
A generous offering at each meal comes from MmaTsebe's humble kitchen. Guests enjoy a seasonal set menu that aims to be colourful, fresh and satisfying. Home-style cookery that inspires intrigue using Motswana recipes, yet remains unchallenging by serving our takes on classic dishes.​
